Eyesafe RPF60 Technology - The Best Blue Light Protection Available

Eyesafe RPF60 technology selectively reduces UV and more than 60% of High-Energy Visible (HEV) blue light from digital screens while maintaining high color recognition. Given the findings and concern from various medical institutions, medical community and research bodies and government agencies around the topic, Healthe is offering Eyesafe products as an important way for consumers to reduce eye exposure to UV and High-Energy Visible (HEV) blue light. Consumers take for granted that sunglasses include UV protection from the sun, but they have had no simple means to protect their eyes from device-emitted UV rays or HEV blue rays. Not surprisingly, Healthe is ahead of international safety standards for device light emissions.

Several international optical manufacturing and protection standards exist that quantify the UV or HEV blue light filtering performance of different materials used in eye and window protection such as ANSI Z87 standards and ISO standards. Both of these standards are recognized by the FDA and CDRH. Eyesafe RPF60 has been designed to meet and exceed these existing optical standards by reducing 99% of UV and 60% of High-Energy Visible (HEV) blue light. Eyesafe is a trademark of Healthe.

Blue Light Blocking for Phones and Tablets

Eyesafe RPF60 technology blocks levels of UV and High-Energy Visible (HEV) blue light. All EYESAFE products block 99% of UV light, with the RPF level indicating the level of HEV blue light blocked. The RPF levels range from RPF15, with 15% of blue light covered, to RPF60 with 60% coverage. The RPF15 product blocks 99% UV and 15% HEV blue light. UV light is defined as light less than 380nm and HEV blue light is defined as light from 380 to 500nm.

More Natural Light

Sunlight or natural daylight offers a more normalized light emission curve, which does not display a peak in the High-Energy Visible (HEV) blue light range. By reducing peak High-Energy Visible (HEV) blue light emission, EYESAFE technology helps provide a more natural light experience.

Ophthalmic Support

You can find a link to the doctors currently recommending Eyesafe screen cover products on the Clinic Locator, along with their endorsements. Healthe is also associated with leading ophthalmic organizations, with a percentage of revenue being donated to Prevent Blindness and Star Pupils for children's eye health. Healthe is a proud member of the Vision Council.

The Most Significant Blue Light Coverage Available

Other solutions are limited in the amount of blue light coverage available. Eyesafe RPF60 provides an unparalleled 68% level of coverage from 380-500nm, which is the area of concern across the light spectrum. Other screen covers available provide little to no UV or blue light coverage. Other blue light blocking screen covers provide nowhere near the 68% coverage level offered by Eyesafe RPF60.
